Neither chestnut nor rose, this is actually the hollowed shell of a plant called “Rosa roxburghii”, filled with black tea and left to age. The flavor and aroma is uniquely its own- like a cross between molasses and rose hips, balanced by the astringency and fruitiness of the black tea.
Each piece is about the size of a quarter but brews more than you would expect!
You cant oversteep this if you tried, so brew it long and hot for a luscious, aromatic cup.
